Seemingly an overnight sensation when they exploded onto the national scene
in the mid-`90s, Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC's had actually been paying
their dues since 1968. The years of experience shine through in every nook and
cranny of FALL ON ME, which incorporates the best elements of `60s, `70s, and
`80s R&B into a bluesy sound that is full of the Spirit. From the rump-shaking
soul-blues-style groove of "So Good to Me" to the old-school churchin' rave-up
"Another Chance," FALL ON ME finds the QCs and Lee Williams's Otis Redding-esque
voice in top form.
